If you follow me, you know that I started last year in January with the Morning Pages Challenge given by Julianne Hough, and you also know that I still write every (okay, I've forgotten it many times during last year) morning to clear my mind. I've written a blogpost about it before (check). But as it's a new year, new start, I am challenging you, all of you, to start writing in the mornings!
Starting your day 'empty minded' is absolutely a fantastic feeling, you wake up and maybe you have some grudge left from whatever happened the day before or maybe you even had an amazing dream you want to write down. Your mind will thank you.
Now I know, you probably will be skeptical about this and find it some sort of 'hippie' movement or whatever. I started out with somewhere in my mind the words "It won't work" and "I will forget to write" and while I did forget to write many times, I realised quickly that it does work for my mental health, even if I just have pages with maybe one word written on them.
It is super simple, all you do is just write something in a notebook before you move on with your day.
I will be posting in my Instagram stories my morning pages writing routine, how the challenge really works, maybe some videos as well (but not sure about that yet.)
Let's start on 6 January as for everybody is life back to normal again by that time.
How about you just try it for a week or two?
xx
