Good morning and welcome to day two.
I hope you all had a beautiful day and a good night sleep and are ready to face this day.
It is day two of the Morning Pages Challenge and I hope that you all have started writing yesterday, maybe just one page, maybe even one word, but that you already felt a little bit enlightened by it.
Today I've got another experience tip for you, one that I find very important for myself, it's a small and simple one.
"Your limitation—it's only your imagination."
Do not immediately read back
My number 2 rule (after 'Don't force yourself') is not to read back what you've written, at least not immediately. I haven't read anything really back ever since I started last year (I've done some quick read backs though, just a few lines of a couple of pages), it is the past and for me it's very important to be able to close that part of your past and keep on going. Maybe I will read it back in the future somewhere, but for now I am absolutely good to just keep on writing and not reading back.
But why should't you read it back?
In my experience reading something back immediately after you wrote it (or maybe the next day or week) is blocking you again and giving you those feelings back, while you need to move away from them, however I do believe it's good to read it back in due time, when it's almost forgotten, when you feel it's time to read it all back again and are emotionally ready to not let those feelings to come to you again.
Writing it down is a healing process, forgetting about it is a healing process and of course there are moments you really don't want to forget, but funnily, you won't forget the good moments (nor the bad ones, but they fade overtime). Don't be afraid to write all your feelings down after you waken up, don't be afraid to have a month of sad pages.
Writing is healing and healing takes time and even some pain. ♥
Have a blessed day
xx
